PL/SQL and SET TRANSACTION USE ROLLBACK SEGMENT

I am trying to use the SET TRANSACTION USE ROLLBACK SEGMENT in a PL/SQL routine. I have used it with success in ordinary sql command files but now it doesn't work. Is this statement not available through PL/SQL?
