C++ & Oracle (FAQ ?)

I am exploring the possibility of using Oracle with C++. So far it looks like the only way to do this is to make all of my Pro*C code live in extern "C" land. If anyone is aware of a clever way to make Pro*C and C++ co-exist happily in one source file, I would appreciate some enlightenment.
