I would appreciate some input about the risks involved with using USER EXTENSIBILITY functionality within the CASE tool.

Heres an example:

Assume that Entity type E8 and Association type A12 is used to define new element and association type. New properties (used PROPERTY1) are added to an existing entity type TAB.

In the next release of CASE*Dictionary some of the above are used to provide new enhancements.

IMHO Using current migration utility and other scripts provided with CASE*Dictionary will result in lossing the entity type, association type and property definitions and probably loose data or have data integrity problems later.

Please understand that I am not trying to flame anyone because I liked the User extensibility functionality provided with CASE*Dictionary but the migration issues worry me so much that I would avoid using it.

Any input about its limitations would be appreciated and summarized.

Thanks in advance.
