WORKSHOP OBJECTIVE All participants should gain and understanding of the tasks associated with database administration and management, the options available for database back-up and recovery, the elements of successful data securty and integrity policies, the measures required to eliminate downtime and ensure efficient applications, and successful strategies for dealing with database vendors. Examples will focus on comparing and contrasting database administration tasks and options associated with commercial products such as DB2, Ingres, Oracle and Sybase.
