Oracle UNKNOWN processes

I am running Oracle v6 on a NeXTcube. I am accessing the database fine from the host machine. However, when I connect to the server through our Tymnet network, Oracle processes come up with the user UNKNOWN.

Does anyone know what may be causing this, I am confused on the situation. Note: this does _not_ happen all of the time either.
