after I turn on the sql_trace feature, a .trc file is created. The problem is that if multiple folks are doing this, all the traces go into one directory with a weird number for the names of the files.
I have been told that part of the name is the user's session id. The problem apparently is that the SID isnt available to the user, so the user STILL doesnt have any idea which trace file is his/hers - one has to call the DBA and they have to check a private table.
Anyone know of any other way a user could find out what trace table belongs to a particular user/sql session?
