nested set functions

I posted this to comp.databases without getting a reply: The SQL standard says that you cannot nest set functions. Oracle does permit set functions to be nested.

Does *anyone* use this feature?
If so, would you mind posting some examples?
Do you think Oracle has implemented this extension in an intuitive manner?
Do any other databases support this extension, and if so, do they support it in the same way as Oracle?
