OC4J problem with Win XP Pro

I just upgraded my machine to XP Pro and now OC4J functions sporadically. As in, it works once in a while, but usually crashes. In looking at my log file, I see that at some point, not always the same one, it starts creating duplicate entries. I assume this could be a threading issue, but it forces oc4j to crash.
