Contact Oracle and ask get a sales rep. Your license is something you must work out.

None. You license by CPU, or by concurrent user, or by named user but it is done license-by-license. There is no default licence for multiple users. Contact Oracle and ask get a sales rep.

I would suggest you not use Oracle 8i: Oracle begins the desupport process this year. I would suggest you not use RAID5: Everything on Oracle's web site indicates it can be a less than optimal configuration. And based on the fact that I think you have already come up with two bad ideas ... I would suggest you hire a consultant to help you make these decisions correctly.

Hire a consultant that knows what they are doing. And expect to pay thousands of dollars for one that is worth more than five cents.

Put simply ... if you can't walk up to the wall and pull out the plug in the middle of th day from your primary server you don't have a disaster plan. If you can't walk up to the machine and pull out a hard disk you don't have a disaster plan. If you can't trash a tablespace and keep going you don't have a disaster plan. And if the building burns down and you can't be up and running within something between seconds and one day you don't have a disaster plan.
