Forms 6i format mask question

In forms 6i, I want to display a number field in scientific notation if the length of the value is greater than 8. e.g. 1230000000 would be 1.23E+9. Otherwise, leave the format alone (1.88, 12.1,etc.). The set_item_property doesn't seem to change values on the fly. Any suggestions? Received on Thu May 29 2003 - 16:31:21 CEST
