  1. [Almost] All Oracle software gets loaded into the $ORACLE_HOME/bin directory. SQL Loader definitely should be there so check there first. If it's not, you likely have a munged install and should consider reinstalling from scratch anyway.
  2. Using the Installer, you should be able to see it in the inventory. I no longer have an 8i installed anywhere, but on 9i in the installer .... check the inventory > 9i Database Client > Database Utilities > SQL Loader
  3. Using the Installer, you can select Custom and request the install - under the same path (client/utils/loader)
  4. Pretty please, learn to do this the 'proper' way. Any other method will likely cause a corrupt environment and will cause you - and us, because you will be asking us - grief.
