Is that also true for the AS? That is the "client" on which the lot runs, ifuc.

AFAIK, BLT8MSWIN1257 is not supported
by the java layer, but this is from my experience with Application Interconnect. UFT8, US7ASCII (...), WE8ISO8859P1, and a Oriental char set was all that was supported. Had to rewrite the lot, using escaped hex codes over the brigde.
