Running 8i on linux 2.4 with Glib 2.2 will cause issues for Oracle 8i and below. They want Glib 2.1
Both Oracle and SUSE as well as others have a glib patch for this. It's kind of a pain.
Best to use Redhat 6.2, Suse 7.0, Mandrake 7.2 etc.. for Oracle 8 stuff. Received on Wed Jun 12 2002 - 08:26:16 CEST
