Hello

We have just released the beta version of the DataBee DBATool and invite interested Oracle professionals to give it a spin and report back with any issues which might arise.

The DBATool is freeware - a brief description of what the DBATool does is given below. A full description (and download) can be found at http://www.databee.com/dt_home.htm

Thanks

######### The DataBee DataBee Tool ###########

  • Creates dependent object scripts. For example, the DDL for a table and all of its associated indexes, primary keys, synonyms etc can be viewed at the press of a button.
  • Generates drop, truncate (including foreign key disables and re-enables) or recompile scripts for any DDL object or group of objects.
  • Provides views of DDL components (or groups of components) in a neatly formatted and intuitive manner.
  • Generates SQL scripts which can recreate a schema and all its DDL components.
  • Writes the database DDL out as HTML pages. The HTML pages are presented in an intuitive and interlinked tree structure that can be accessed by any web browser.
  • Easily strips storage clause and tablespace information from table and index DDL.
  • Creates rule files which can manipulate the DDL in a consistent and reproducible manner.
  • Quickly gets at the information you need. The DBATool is very fast - no database connection is required. The DBATool reads standard Oracle export files (created with the ROWS=N option).
