Visibility property in Oracle form

On this form I programmatically (in run-time) change the visibility property to visible/unvisible of one text item according to value in another list item on form. But, after item is unvisible and when I revert back to visible, this item is automatically not enabled and update allowed is not set so I have to manually in trigger set enable and update_allowed to true. Why text item after setting visible property to false automatically sets enabled and update_allowed to false?
