Oracle installation

I try to install Oracle 8.1.7 under Linux but can"t launch Oracle install program.I made all needed pre installation operations: configuring kernel
making user groups and users
set environment for Oracle user
make /u01 maount point
But when from my KDE i launch runInstaller i got message SIGSEGV 11* segmentation violation
