I really need some help over here.
I am trying to create reports (in Character Mode for a LinePrinter) using
SQL$REPORTWRITER 6.0.5.28
in Windows 2K and I'm having all kind of problems.
- How do you set-up REPORTWRITER to design in Character Mode...I've tried everything in the book, still can get the layout right. I never get WYSIWYG; my layout is ok, it's the preview that's all screwed up.
- When I try to Generate to File, the created file is ALWAYS 80 char wide... I need 132 char wide file generation (my report IS 132 char wide). I've tried WIDE.PRT...no go; (This one is VERY important to me...I need to be able to generate my reports in 132 char wide files, so that they can be printed on a LinePrinter.
- In the Margin Config, I cannot move the d.... Page Limit border beyong the 80 mark... I want to design in 132 char/page...not 80!
- This version keep crashing on me, is this a buggy version?
Any help would be greatly appreciate.
