ANNOUNCE: DBAComp now available for Windows

DBAComp(anion) is a database administration tool for Oracle databases. It allows you to browse the Oracle data dictionary in a graphical way.

Main features:

  • Browse data dictionary and drill down from one information to related ones.
  • Generate SQL scripts based on data dictionary information.
  • Completely customise all SQL used by DBAComp.

DBAComp is based on the Qt graphical library and is written in C++. It is an open source product developed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). It can be used for Oracle7 or higher.

Until recently DBAComp could only be used on X11 platforms (mainly UNIX). But now you can also use it on the different Windows platforms (NT, W2K, ME, 98).

You can download it from http://homepage.internet.lu/torsten. You can get the source code and compile it on any platform (now including Windows) or you can download binary versions for Windows, Linux, Solaris (Intel or Sparc), HP-UX and Reliant Unix.

Cheers,
Torsten
