Oracle 8i : login problem

Hi,
I have just downloaded Oracle8i from the oracle-website. I've installed it and now I want to start SQL plus. I use the following login : loginname=system, password=manager. Then the database starts. But then Oracle asks again for a password. Does anyone know which password this is ? I also tryed to login with scott/tiger, but it's the same problem.
