Using variables in Packages

Hello,
[Quoted] [Quoted] I would like to define a set of variables in a package spec which I then [Quoted] [Quoted] need to access and modify from a forms application - essentially they would [Quoted] be global variables but with a defined datatye and size. I remember seeing [Quoted] this done before but cannot find the documentation, can anyone refresh my memory as to how to reference the package variables and how to declare them?
