Understood.

What I really want to do is upgrade the Oracle executable(s) without bringing down the system. Maybe, 'cut' over to a new version. Example run the app on 8.0.5.2.1 then 'migrate' the users over to a 8.1.6 environment. What is unclear is 'cut'ing over and/or 'migrating'
