Why can't you change it? On the Layout Editor, there is a tool bar on the left margin. Click the large T, about the 7th icon down, and then click the text you want to change. You should be able to edit that text. Or, you could just click that text item, delete it, and recreate a new one to your liking. Or do you want to change it programmatically? No can do in 4.5, but see Matt B's suggestions in another post. Also, I found that 4.5 in an HP-UX/Win98 configuration sometimes would not always save my changes to boilerplate text on a canvas. I would have to remake my changes and save again.
