Re: Oracle 8i Startup?

I ran into startup problems on certain Dell PC boxes. Oracle said there was a known issue that is supposed to be fixed in 8.1.7.

I found that the only way to start the DB service was to set it to manual in the service panel and use "ORADIM -startup -sid yourSID". Sometimes you need to run svrmgrl after this and "connect internal" and do a "startup".
