I've had the same problem. So far - I never did get OAS to work on RedHat 6.2. Anyhow, Patch #1226512, replacing libyod.so and liborb.so files may fix the problem of the wrksf process dying.
Also - make sure you have at least 1 "Start-up Instance" of the cartridge set up, instead of the default 0.
If you ever get your PL/SQL App to work on RedHat 6.2, please let me know.
