Hi,
Start the listener and the oracle server before attempting to connect from within Developer (2000 or 6i forms/reports). Ensure that you have configured your tnsnames.ora, listener.ora and sqlnet.ora files by using the Net8 Assistant. Check the status of the listener. This specific error indicates that Oracle server is NOT running (open). regards
