Try to export (with exp utility) your objects (or user or schema ..) and use the import utility with the parameter INDEXFILE. So you will get the object descriptions like "create table" in a file. With Oracle V6 and V7 were delivered a utility to convert data in ascii- and db3-Format (i guess ascprep/dbrprep ????). In V8 you have to write your own select statement, to get data in a ascii-format or use ms-excel or other tools like that.
