I don't have the old version of Designer to look at anymore but did the domain column vanish from the "Attributes" tab in the ERD editor? This turns the one step process of adding an attribute into about 6: Add attribute, apply, switch to detail panel, find it in the list, set the domain, and apply again. I hope this is a bug and not a permanent change.
