ANNOUNCE: Version 0.2 of DBA Companion for Oracle

DBAComp(anion) is a database administration tool for Oracle databases. It allows you to browse the Oracle data dictionary in a graphical way.

Main features:

  • Browse data dictionary and drill down from one information to related ones.
  • Generate SQL scripts based on data dictionary information.
  • Completely customise all SQL used by DBAComp.

DBAComp is based on the Qt graphical library and is written in C++. It is an open source product developed under the GNU General Public License
(GPL). It can be used for Oracle7 or higher.

Version 0.2 adds enhanced functionality through a large number of new screens
that allow you to have a deeper look into the data dictionary.Another main new
feature is the use of MDI, simplifying the use of multiple instances of DBAComp at the same time.

You can download it or have a look at the release notes at http://homepage.internet.lu/torsten. You can get the source code and compile
it on any platform or you can download binary versions for Linux and Reliant
Unix.

Cheers,
