Insights about WebDB

Hi
I have never used WebDB and wanted to know from experts out there about there experiences with it. I also want
to know wether using Applets and JDBC or WebDB will help me in building a better Web based database application. I will be having a Oracle 8.0 database as my back-end which will be sitting on a Solaris environment.

Any suggestion on Cold Fusion when compared to WebDB also welcome.
