There is no problem running Forms30 with 7.3.4. You just need to install 7.3.4 in new $ORACLE_HOME separate from Oracle Tools (Forms30, Menu50, etc.) and point from Tools to this new database via SQL*Net2. In that case you have to recompile nothing. I had even tried Forms30+Menu50 against 8.1.6EE on HP-UX11. I got no problem to install those. Also the Tools tutorial examples were working (selects, inserts, updates). However it was just a try and I did not tested it carefully.

Good luck,
Eugene.
