MAPObjects interface

Has anyone tried calling Esri's GIS application MAPObjects from Forms 2.1 or Forms 6.0. We use Windows NT and our server (8.0.6) is on Compaq/Digital Unix.
We would like to retrieve pertinent Oracle data in a form then call up a map in another window on the same screen, the map being identified by a key field in the form.
