After completing installation of Oracle Application Server 4.0.7 on Solaris 2.6, I was able to start node manager listener and all application server processes. When I tried to start two http listeners (one for web and one for admin utility), I received the following errors.

Information: Listening on NORM port 8889 address 0.0.0.0 Error: Adapter configuration file (adapter.app) not found Information: Application init function oracle_adp_init returned ADI_FATALINIT
Error: The server could not initialize
Information: The server is exiting

I checked the wrb.log file and found further that 'Spyglass_Listener_Adapter' with OWS-10512: Adapter configuration f ile (adapter.app) not found. Unfortunately, the Oracle manual simply tells me to check the environment variable. I wonder which one I should check. Where exactly should I put adapter.app?

Also, the installation created an empty adapter.app file in the $ORAWEB_ADMIN/website40/httpd_<primary_node> directory. What is supposed to be in this file?

Any help would be appreciated.
