1.U need to determine the number of transactions per second. Take a utlbstat & estat report come to a bandwindh by collecting transactions/second column cumulatively. This will give an idea about the required network speed.

2.Its not a good idea to replicate all tables. U can replicate all master and detail tables.

3.Use symmetic replication.

4. Using replication manager(Part of oracle enterprise manager), the task can be made easier.
