WebDB : Cannot delete thing with dependents

Hi,
When I try to delete an HTML-file with referenced GIF-files added as announcement, I get the message
"Error 30584: DBMS_SQL has raised an unhandled exception, ORA-20030: Cannot delete thing with dependents"
Forced expiration with following system purge does delete the announcement item, but the GIF-files are still in the database (search does find them).
How can I access and delete these sub-items ?
