Owen,

A Forms 4.5 FMT file is an ASCII text file. It basically goes through the entire form, top to bottom listing properties and their settings, triggers and their PL/SQL code, Attached Libraries, LOVs and their properties, Program Units and their PL/SQL code, Record Groups and their properties, etc.. It basically is the same as what you would see if you opened FMB and looked at properties and PL/SQL for each and every object in the Navigator window. They can be very useful, but always make me wish there was a Windows version of the IBM Mainframe TSO Editor where you could EXCLUDE all lines then only SHOW the lines containing a particular word or group of words. Heck of a lot easier than FINDing your way through a large text file. Hope this helps,
Paul
