[Quoted] Tom what application are you attempting to connect from with the ODBC? Setting up the actual ODBC is quite straight forward: install the correct version of SQLnet/NET8 then load the ODBC driver. Both are on the distribution CD.

Once the drivers are loaded use the ODBC administrator utility to configure [Quoted] a "system" not "user" connection. Once configured, ODBC can then be used in [Quoted] your application. MSaccess requires slightly different connection items than VB6 or Excel.
