The architecture of large-scale enterprise Java applications often includes application servers, middleware, and databases. In addition, many developers find XML and Java are a powerful solution for data interchange and e-commerce. Panelists will discuss:

  • Java in the database and XML in the database
  • SQL servers that embed the Java VM and XML parsers
  • tradeoffs to consider when writing Java classes to install in databases
  • deciding whether to write classes for the database server or application server
  • how databases and XML integrate with Java enterprise technologies
