master_detailed forms query

[Quoted] I create a master_detailed forms. There are the field which attributes is char(10). When I enter qurey criteria in the field for example "E7710"(5 bits), No results.
The other case is when I enter E7710 with single- quotation mark, There is one records in master block,no records are in the detailed block.
