need help :q about exit item when value not in range in forms

[Quoted] it is a small problem but very annoying: i wrote an aplication and need to check the value of a text item, which act as apassword
the user sould enter a value,after few triels, if the item is not in the range as was set in the property (lowest and highest allowed value ) i should exit run time.
i can't use built_ins, as exit_form, couse they are restricted built-in and the trigger i use is not ,
i can't navigate anywere,or enable the item, it keeps waiting for the write value to be inserted and i don't know how,if posibble, to force value, the poor user will be stuck there...,i'm not suppose to let the user know the range
