How to do IIOP connection to oracle 8i from jdeveloper 2.x

When using thedeployment wizard to deploy (EJB) Java classes to Oracle 8i,
I get an error "Can't find resource" when testing the new IIOP connection to
the remote Oracle 8i database. (Using correct port, hostname and sid)
Anyone know what the message means?
Anyone know how I can solve this?
