[Quoted] Hi all,

[Quoted] [Quoted] This is a bit of a newbie question. I have an existing oracle (v7.3.x) [Quoted] [Quoted] database but I don't have DDL source used to create it I would like to [Quoted] [Quoted] 'clone' a clean version of the database. I'd like to know if there is some way to get the oracle server to generate the DDL for an existing database and dump it to a file for future use.

I know all the information I need is in the system tables, but I don't [Quoted] want to have to write a program to generate the DDL for me unless I absolutely have to.

I know that SQL Server has a system stored proc which does it (not to mention that it is a menu item in the enterprise manager, sp_helptext).

Thanks
Jorge
