The command for the runtime can take username/password_at_dbalias as a parameter
so, in Win clients for instance you could create a shortcut that has the
following as the command line:
f50run32,exe myfmxfile.fmx username/passwrod_at_mydatabase
( Note that this reveals the password, so I usually leave it off and let Oracle
prompt for it....so
f50run32.exe myfmxfile.fmx username_at_mydatabase )
