OAS dies .....

All,
We have the following configuration:
OAS 4.0.7
Solaris 2.6
Netscape 3.5.1 g
The problem is that after some time (minutes to 10s of minutes) depending on the traffic the OAS does not respond even though the processes are alive. We are using only the PL/SQL cartridge. There are no error messages in the log files. We never had these problems with OWS 3.x.
Can someone please let me know if/how this can be fixed or if this is a known problem.
