Printer status required..

We are using Reports 2.5 to develop our reports. After printing each page we need to know whether the page is printed by the printer and then update a field in the table about the status. If for any reason the printer is not able to print (like printer error, paper jam etc.,) then the status should be updated accordingly. Pl help.
