Oracle Reports 3.0.5 - leading spaces problem

[Quoted] We are trying to print a field that has some records with 9 leading spaces. [Quoted] We are ordering by the 10th position and this works fine but it is ignoring [Quoted] some of the leading spacees when printing and the records are not lining up [Quoted] properly. Can anyone help us remedy this situtaion?
