This position requires 3+ years of experience as a DBA
with Oracle and Sybase. Experience with both mainframe
and client-server databases is preferred. Duties
include proactive monitoring and resolution of
availability/performance problems; protection of production
data through design and implementation of security policies
and backup; installation, configuration, and upgrading
of database and related applications; assisting product
control, users and application programmers as required with
production troubleshooting or design problems; negotiating
with vendors for product licensing and support. Experience
tuning databases and their applications and configuring
system monitoring/scheduling software (e.g., CA7 orUnicenter)
is required.
Additional Information
Salary: $70,000 to $85,000 per year
