You can open the diagram, then press ctrl-c to "copy", in any progam that supports OLE you can paste it in. You can even work in the applicaton inside word/excel/whatever as it is an OLE Object and behaves similarly to e.g. spreadsheets inside Word. This works excellent (but feels really weird I think !).
