Why do you want to load the HTML files into the database. Depending on your application it would probably be better to keep them on the file system.

By leaving them on the file system, if you are you using a web server you can take adavantage of the caching and you wont have any database overhead.

If you are using a tool like context to build indexes you can still leave the files on the file system and build html pointers to them.
