Version Management and Des2K?

Does anyone know whether Designer2000 V1/V2 provides version management features to allow implementation of a change management programme?

Ie: is it possible to manage different versions of the same base application in the designer repository and generate code based on a specific version required?. For example, as an application evolves and matures over time new functions and modules are built and released. Different customers cannot be running the same version of an application all at the same time and so different versions need to be supported. If the code for the system is fully generated (or close to 100%) it seems pointless to manage the generated code in a third-party Source Code Management tool such as PVCS if the repository from which it is generated cannot be version managed.

How are others addressing these issues?

Thanks in advance for any help,
