[Quoted] I seem to have come across a problem with conversion of dates from the default form of DD-MON-YY to the form DD-MON-YYYY using Forms Designer V4.5 [Quoted] for Windows NT V4.

What is happening is this. I have base table item that is attached to a date field, now th I've changed the format mask in the Property sheet to the desired format, and also adjust the maximum length property to cope with these two extra characters.

However, I can't compile and run it, because the database seems to be telling the form that the date column in base table has a maximum length of [Quoted] 9 characters, which is the length of the default DD-MON-YY.

I know that it is not the database itself, since the column is defined as type DATE and this allows me to convert the date from a PL/SQL command into the format I want, so what am I doing wrong in the Forms Designer?
